Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Nashik — Panchvati & Godavari
Arrive at Nashik and check into your hotel. Freshen up and visit the sacred Panchvati area, Kalaram Temple, Sita Gufa and the Godavari Ramkund ghats. Attend the evening aarti on the river. Overnight in Nashik.

Day 2 Nashik — Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
Early morning drive to Trimbakeshwar (~30 km) for darshan of the sacred Jyotirlinga at the foot of the Brahmagiri hill — the source of the Godavari river. Return to Nashik and visit Muktidham Temple. Overnight in Nashik.

Day 3 Nashik to Aurangabad — Grishneshwar
After breakfast, drive to Aurangabad (~4 hours). Check into your hotel. Afternoon visit the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga temple and the nearby Ellora village. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Aurangabad.

Day 4 Ellora Caves UNESCO Heritage Tour
Post breakfast, spend the day exploring the magnificent Ellora Caves — 34 rock-cut Hindu, Buddhist and Jain monasteries including the awe-inspiring monolithic Kailasa Temple. Overnight in Aurangabad.

Day 5 Ajanta Caves & Departure
Early breakfast and full-day excursion to the UNESCO listed Ajanta Caves (~2.5 hours drive) — 30 ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves famous for their exquisite murals and sculptures. Return to Aurangabad and transfer to airport / railway station for your onward journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Ellora and Ajanta caves open all week?
Ellora Caves are closed on Tuesdays and Ajanta Caves are closed on Mondays. We plan the itinerary to avoid the closed days for each site.
How much walking is involved at the caves?
Both sites involve significant walking (2–3 km at each). Ajanta requires climbing several steps to access upper caves. Wheelchairs and battery-operated shuttles are available at Ajanta.
What is special about Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga?
It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and the sacred source of the Godavari river. The unique three-faced lingam represents Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Can we perform Kumbh snana at Nashik?
Nashik hosts the Simhastha Kumbh Mela every 12 years. Even outside Kumbh, the Ramkund ghat is a highly revered spot for a holy dip in the Godavari.
