Alleppey Weekend Getaway
Overview
Alleppey is often called the Venice of the East — a maze of tranquil backwaters, canals and lagoons framed by paddy fields and coconut groves.
The star of this weekend is a private Kerala houseboat — traditionally called a kettuvallam — with your own chef, cabin and open deck. Watch village life drift by, feast on Kerala meals and fall asleep to the water lapping your boat.
