This carefully crafted pilgrimage weaves together three powerful Devi kshetras nestled between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea — Kollur Mookambika, Sigandur Chowdeshwari and Kateel Durga Parameshwari.
Expect serene darshans, temple meals, a scenic Sharavathi backwater ferry crossing to Sigandur, and comfortable stays close to each temple. Every drive winds through coconut groves and coastal Karnataka hamlets.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Kollur — Mookambika Temple
Arrive at Kollur and check into your hotel. Freshen up and proceed for the darshan of Goddess Mookambika at the ancient temple believed to be sanctified by Adi Shankaracharya. Attend the evening deeparadhana and rituals. Overnight in Kollur.

Day 2 Kollur to Sigandur — Sharavathi Ferry
Early morning special darshan at Kollur. Post breakfast, drive to Sigandur through Western Ghats. Cross the beautiful Sharavathi backwaters by ferry and take darshan of Sigandur Chowdeshwari, revered as the guardian deity against loss. Drive to Udupi for overnight stay.

Day 3 Udupi Krishna & Kateel Darshan
Early morning darshan at Udupi Sri Krishna Temple. Post breakfast, drive to Kateel and take darshan of Goddess Durga Parameshwari at the temple set on an island in the Nandini river. Return to Mangaluru for overnight stay.

Day 4 Mangaluru — Local Temples & Departure
Post breakfast, visit the Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple and Mangaladevi Temple in Mangaluru. Check out and drive back to your onward destination with the blessings of the Devi kshetras.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Sharavathi ferry crossing safe?
Yes. The government-run ferry runs on fixed schedules and is safe. Life jackets are available. The crossing takes about 20 minutes across calm backwaters.
Can Sigandur be reached without the ferry?
There is now a new bridge across the Sharavathi that connects Sigandur to the mainland. We may use the bridge or the ferry depending on conditions and time.
Is Kudajadri trek included?
The Kudajadri sunrise trek/jeep ride is optional and can be arranged on request (weather permitting). It is not part of the standard itinerary.
Is this trip suitable for seniors?
Yes. Drives are paced comfortably and hotels are close to temples. The ferry crossing is level and easy to board.
Can we extend the trip?
Yes. We can add Dharmasthala, Sringeri, Horanadu or the Karnataka coastal beaches for a longer itinerary.
