Is the Sharavathi ferry crossing safe?
Yes. The government-run ferry runs on fixed schedules and is safe. Life jackets are available. The crossing takes about 20 minutes across calm backwaters.
Can Sigandur be reached without the ferry?
There is now a new bridge across the Sharavathi that connects Sigandur to the mainland. We may use the bridge or the ferry depending on conditions and time.
Is Kudajadri trek included?
The Kudajadri sunrise trek/jeep ride is optional and can be arranged on request (weather permitting). It is not part of the standard itinerary.
Is this trip suitable for seniors?
Yes. Drives are paced comfortably and hotels are close to temples. The ferry crossing is level and easy to board.
Can we extend the trip?
Yes. We can add Dharmasthala, Sringeri, Horanadu or the Karnataka coastal beaches for a longer itinerary.
