This 2-day itinerary pairs a comfortable forest-edge stay with a jeep safari and a river cruise, giving you the best chance to see Indian gaur, dhole (wild dogs), elephants, leopards and the elusive Bengal tiger.

Day 1 Arrival & Afternoon Jeep Safari
Drive from Bengaluru or Mysuru to Nagarahole and check in to your forest-edge resort. After a relaxed lunch, head out for an afternoon jeep safari inside the reserve — dense forest, open meadows and prime habitat for gaur, dhole and leopards. Return for high tea, a naturalist-led nature walk and dinner. Overnight in Nagarahole.

Day 2 Morning Safari, River Cruise & Departure
Start with a golden-hour jeep safari for the best light and wildlife activity. Return for breakfast, then enjoy a coracle / river cruise along the Kabini for waterbirds, crocodiles and elephants at the water's edge. Freshen up, check out and drive back.

When is the best time to visit Nagarahole?
October to May is ideal, with the best wildlife sightings between February and May when animals concentrate around water sources.
How is Nagarahole different from Bandipur or Kabini?
Nagarahole has denser evergreen sections and a river corridor along the Kabini, making it especially good for gaur, dhole, elephants and waterbirds — in addition to the same tiger and leopard populations shared with Bandipur.
Are there both morning and afternoon safaris?
Yes. This package includes one jeep safari and one river cruise; additional safaris can be added on request based on availability.
